Chris Torres, MD, MPH

Dr. Torres joined the AMAS clinical staff in Nov 2024 with 30 years of experience as a U.S. Air Force Flight Surgeon and 20 years as an active duty and contractor Aerospace Medicine specialist. Dr. Torres is a graduate of Harvard Medical School. He received his Master of Public Health degree from The Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and completed the Residency in Aerospace and Occupational Medicine. Dr. Torres is board certified in Aerospace Medicine. During his 30 years on active duty, he served as a squadron level Flight Surgeon, Chief of Aerospace Medicine, squadron commander, group commander, Deputy Command Surgeon at U.S. Southern Command, and Command Surgeon at U.S. Strategic Command. He has logged over 800 flight hours in numerous Air Force, Army and Navy aircraft.
