The VFS web site is designed as a free Internet resource for pilots, controllers and AMEs to bookmark as a single comprehensive reference for aeromedical certification information and links to widely recognized authorities in medicine, aerospace medicine and the FAA. Pilots and controllers are encouraged to obtain accurate information about the aeromedical implications of specific medical conditions from qualified aviation medicine specialists and authorities. Pilots and controllers should not have any reluctance to fully explore and discuss medical concerns with both their treating and aeromedical physicians.
